The chipmunks dance song is not a new single. It is a sped-up edit of “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)”, the Dead or Alive recording. The vocal is pitched up until it sits in the same range people associate with Alvin and the Chipmunks. That is the whole link. Different posts may use different edits.
Chipmunks dance song, music, and the lyrics search
People search “chipmunks dance song”, “chipmunk dance song”, “chipmunks dance music”, and “chipmunks trend lyrics”. The lyrics queries are looking for words to a hook they already know. This page does not reprint those lyrics. If you want to sing along, use a licensed copy of the Dead or Alive recording or the sound inside TikTok.
This site is independent of the artists, their labels and the film franchise.
How to find the sound on TikTok
- Open a chipmunks dance post, not a search for the song title. Use the sound attached to the post you want to follow. See the trend guide.
- Tap the spinning sound name on the post. TikTok may show a creator name instead of “Dead or Alive”.
- Use that sound on your own post. Hashtags people attach include #chipmunksdance, #alvinandchipmunks, and #youspinmeround.
- If you made the clip with AI, turn on the AI-generated label before you publish.
How the soundtrack reaches the download
The finished MP4 includes the prepared reference soundtrack. Reference audio does not give you a license to redistribute the underlying song; check the rules of the platform where you post. Open the generator to choose your photos.
If you only have one or two friends on camera, you can still post. The generator takes one to three photos at the same price. Empty slots keep a dancer from the reference clip. The how-to walks through the upload, the consent box, and the label. When the photos are picked, start the render.
Do not rip the audio from someone else’s TikTok and re-upload it as your soundtrack on another platform. Use the sound inside TikTok, or a recording you have a license for.
Questions about the song
What song is the chipmunks dance?
A sped-up, higher-pitched edit of “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” by Dead or Alive. People also search chipmunks dance song, chipmunk dance song, and chipmunks dance music for the same audio.
Why can’t I find it by searching the title on TikTok?
The trend sound is often uploaded as an original sound under a creator’s name, not under the official song title. Open a chipmunks dance post and tap the sound on that video.
Does the AI video include the song?
The finished MP4 includes the fixed reference soundtrack. Check music permissions before posting; the download does not grant rights to the underlying recording.
Are the lyrics on this page?
No. The lyrics are copyrighted. You do not need them to find the sound or to make the video.
